2. SNEAKERS :
“Sneakers will continue to be extremely popular in the upcoming year,” is what Gennie Yi, Intermix’s buyer of designer and ready-to-wear advises this year”. There is already a huge sneakers shopping trend, and we see more and more IT girls wearing them. Because of the popularity, the designers came with different colors and style solutions, so you can choose either from the classic Stan Smiths to Rihanna’s creepers for Puma. The possibilities are endless.
3. SPORTY CHIC AND EASY ELEGANCE: Just like the previous-the sneaker trend, this one is also all about being comfy and chic at the same time. The modern way of life we are all used to, requires feeling comfortable, but it does not mean that we need to sacrifice our style. “There is a new attitude shift toward ‘easy elegance’ going into spring 2017,” says Brooke Jaffe, Bloomingdale’s OVP and fashion director of ready-to-wear. ”Athletic inspired pieces were came huge these last years, and for sure, they are here to stay.
4. ARTISTICALLY INSPIRED FASHION ITEMS: “There was an artistically inspired theme across the runways,” says Kate Foley, contributing fashion director of Vestiaire Collective. ”Art was obviously the inspiration for many popular brands, starting from Céline to J.W.Anderson, Proenza Schouler, Marni, Valentino, and many others. The runways were flooded with artsy prints and patterns, and they certainly seem cool, colorful and fun.
5. MIX & MATCH: If art inspired pieces are not eccentric enough for you, then you should certainly try mix and matching. Designers such as Gucci, Miu Miu, Dolce and Gabbana and Chanel have tried this eclectic concept of mix and match, and the results are amazing.
