The delicious and colorful food that lies at the heart of Italian life was more than apparently what inspired Dolce and Stefano for the latest Dolce and Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
From fruit and floral prints mixed and matched in the most unusual ways to vegetable pieces such as garlic bulbs, farfalle and rigatoni turned into an adorable jewelry, the collection was edibly awesome…It abounded with hot pants, bikini tops, tailored suits, high-waisted shorts, structural bodices and pencil skirts, each of the garments being cute, wearable and utterly chic. Alongside the delicious foodie pieces, what was truly eye catching and adorable were definitely the intricate lacy details, sparkling gemstones and jewels that appeared at the second part of the show. What we’ve liked the most about the collection were most certainly the 50’s prim silhouettes which accented the model’s waist and perfectly complemented Dolce and Gabbana’s signature femininity.
