Liselotte Watkins’ fashion illustrations
Liselotte Watkins is the name of the brilliant fashion illustrator whose gorgeous imagery left us totally overwhelmed. Born in Nyköping, Sweden, the incredibly talented Liselotte has started her career as a fashion illustrator after graduating at The Art Institute in Dallas, USA. From then on, she creates mesmerizing and truly whimsical drawings which adorn the pages of prestigious magazines such as ELLE(USA, France, UK) Vogue( USA, UK, Italy, Japan), Glamour, Mademoiselle and many more. Painted in the most captivating vibrant hues, Lisolette’s girls are confident, bold and they have gorgeous hair.
When asked about her illustrating technique, Watkins would say: “I make an outline on transparent paper with a special kind of pen that I order by the box load from Japan. The coloring is done in Photoshop.”
P.S. Besides creating illustrations for various fashion magazines and creating ads for some of the fashion’s biggest names, her greatest success came in 2008 when MIu Miu chose to feature her beyond gorgeous drawings as patterns on ten different dresses from their Spring/Summer 2008 collection.
