Packing For A Campervan : What Should You Include
Many people go on camping trips on their own rather than signing up for tour packages. In fact this is the best option as you get to travel through the country in your own campervan. The important thing is that most of the people want to travel with comfort. The campervan in which you travel will not only be a medium of transport, but will also act as the sleeping, entertaining and storage area. You have to make sure that you pack light, but still carry all possible things that are associated with your comfort.
Items to be Included in Your Campervan
1) Suitcases – The best advice anyone can give you while packing for a campervan is that you should pack only what you need. For example, you can pack holdalls rather than packing big suitcases. These are fantastic to carry while travelling in a campervan. They can be kept anywhere as they take less space. They can actually be squashed down into cupboards and other small cabinets. This will allow you to make a lot of space in the van. On the other hands, you can not keep suitcases in tight spaces as something in them might break. Moreover, most of the suitcases are made of plastic which can break easily with pressure. Therefore, you should make sure that you buy good suitcases that are more reliable.
2) Vacuum bags – You can keep many things in vacuum bags and make space in the van. Just make sure that they are not the ones which require a vacuum to pull things out. You can simply put soft and small items in a vacuum bag and seal it. Moreover, if you plan or rafting or other water adventure sports, the vacuum bag will keep your things dry. It comes in handy to keep electronic gadgets like cameras, remotes, batteries etc.
3) Tents – When you plan a camping trip, tents are must to carry. Tents may take a lot of space in a campervan, but you will need them if you are planning on stopping and sleeping outside the van. Tents can also be used if you plan to stop on a riverside or in open areas. Tents are actually versatile if you set them up in the right manner. They can be used for sleeping, storing or even sitting idle.
4) Roof racks and Trailer boxes – Large boxes like trunks can be kept at the back of the van. Items which are heavy or big in size can be kept in these trailer boxes. Trailer boxes increase the space inside the van as they can be kept at the back of the van. Bags, heavy items and other belongings can easily fit into these trailer boxes. Roof racks are also useful for keeping surfboards etc. Just make sure that you do not put too much weight on the campervan as this may hamper your speed and fuel efficiency. Remember to pack light, carry holdalls, vacuum bags and tents. Once you do that, you are ready to go.
