“Futuristic Eskimo combined with technical Seventies ski wear”. ..This is how the Rag and Bone boys described the look of their fall 2011 collection. It was apparently inspired by Norway, Scotland and the Arctic Circle, but with an interesting urban and futuristic twist. They used a lot of texture and various colors ranging from dark gray and black to “Arctic sky inspired” blue in the second half of the show.
When asked about the collection, Marcus Wainwright commented: “It started with Inuit people — the indigenous people of the Arctic circle — and on the other side of it, there was a French skiier called Jean-Claude Killy — so ’70s ski — and it just went from there.”
