Inspired, as she herself would reveal, by Artful Dodger, a character in Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, her style is anything but ordinary. It’s disheveled and imperfect, always being an amazing blend of bourgeois and boho elements with a touch of edginess and individuality…She rocks designer and vintage pieces mixed and matched in the most amazing ways…and her always a little bit off combos are perfectly completed by her messy air, her signature hats and sometimes a pair of suspenders.
When asked to describe her personal style, Lou would say: “What attracts me is something broken, something a bit off. I never comb my hair or make anything pretty. When people look too beautiful, it’s too easy.”
